How it works

The function of VBOX

VBOX allows lights out remote access to PC systems/machines with no network card or those not allowed to be connected to an IT Network.
The only cables connected to the machine from the VBOX is a HDMI cable for Video, and a USB for keyboard and mouse.
The VBOX Optima is an alternative to onsite vendor support for systems with no Ethernet connectivity, instead they can test the offline system/machine remotely.
Each customer receives unique login credentials for their dedicated VBOX unit.

The following components create the VBOX Solution:

  • ⇒
    Internet Connection
  • ⇒
    Virtual Switch Concentrator (VSC)
  • ⇒
    Dedicated VBOX Unit(s)

Internet Connection

Accessing the Internet comes with 2 possibilities:

  1. DHCP LAN
  2. DHCP WAN

Virtual Router Concentrator (VRC)

Each customer is allocated a secure dedicated VBOX VRC at our Data Centre to which each VBOX connects.
Typically 1 VBOX VSC is created for each Customer Project.
The VRC is a managed service administered by VBOX Ltd. on the customer's behalf.
